Brief info

Crystal Schimpf is a Research and Learning Librarian for Business and Economics at Dartmouth College, where she is liaison to students and faculty in the Tuck School of Business. She has previously served as a rural public library director, a consultant to public libraries, a library staff trainer, and a nonprofit program manager. Her work has focused on areas including community engagement, digital literacy training, outcome measurement, policy development, and organizational learning. During her time as a consultant, she worked for the Colorado State Library, and also worked independently with the Public Library Association, Infopeople, TechSoup for Libraries, the Washington State Library, and the Georgia Public Library Service. She is an active and current member of the American Library Association, the Public Library Association, the Association of Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL), the New England Library Association, the New Hampshire Library Association, and the New Hampshire Library Trustee Association. She has served on the ARSL Board of Directors (2023), the ALA Intellectual Freedom Roundtable’s Bylaws and Organization Committee (2020-2022), and is a Past President of the ALA Learning Round Table (2016-2017). She earned her MLIS from San Jose State University (2007).
